Alice in Chains' 'Dirt' celebrated with 30th anniversary deluxe reissue
Alice in Chains’ landmark sophomore album, Dirt, is turning 30 this year, and to celebrate the milestone, Columbia/Legacy are reissuing the album in remastered 2LP deluxe vinyl format.
In addition to the standard vinyl reissue, Dirt will also be available in a limited-edition box set, which includes the album on 2LP orange vinyl plus CD, bonus 7-inches featuring its five singles with new artwork, a 24-inch poster, tour laminate, hardbound book, reprinted setlist, and a box lid filled with metal shavings that can be moved around to create your own “dirt” design.
As for why the album is receiving the royal treatment? Originally released on September 29, 1992, the effort launched a series of era-defining singles, including “Rooster,” "Them Bones," "Angry Chair," “Down in a Hole” and "Would?" (which also appeared on the soundtrack to the film Singles), and sold five million copies in the process.
The deluxe Dirt reissue is out September 23. Pre-order your copy through the Metal Edge shop now, and check out the full track list below.
