Def Leppard announce new album, 'Diamond Star Halos,' share first single, 'Kick'

Listen to the stomping glam-rocker now

Let’s get, let’s get, let’s get rocked (again): Def Leppard have announced their forthcoming album, Diamond Star Halos, due May 27th, roughly one month before their highly anticipated (and twice delayed) Stadium Tour with Mötley Crüe, Poison and Joan Jett & the Blackhearts kicks off in Atlanta. In advance of the record’s release, the Leps have also unveiled the first single, the glam-stomping “Kick."

Def Leppard - Diamond Star Halos

Diamond Star Halos is Def Leppard’s first new studio album since their 2015 self-titled effort, and their 12th overall. The music, per the “Bang a Gong (Get It On)”-referencing title, is said to be inspired by ’70s glam-rockers like T.Rex, Mott the Hoople and David Bowie.

In addition to the band members – singer Joe Elliott, guitarists Phil Collen and Vivian Campbell, bassist Rick Savage and drummer Rick Allen – several guests appear on the record, including singer Alison Krauss on “This Guitar” and “Lifeless,” and Bowie pianist Mike Garson on “Goodbye for Good This Time” and “Angels (Can’t Help You Now).”

You can check out “Kick” above, and the track list below. And head here to preorder Diamond Star Halos now.
