Metallica’s James Hetfield has done it. So have 50 Cent, Justin Bieber and Mariah Carey. And now the one-and-only Papa Emeritus IV, front man for Swedish retro-ghoul rockers Ghost, is the latest – and, arguably, most bizarre – addition to the list of music artists who have thrown out the ceremonial first pitch at a Major League Baseball game.
Papa (a k a Tobias Forge) did the deed at Guaranteed Rate Field in Chicago, where the Chicago White Sox hosted the Cleveland Guardians on September 22. Decked out in a Sox pinstriped uniform and with makeup intact, he threw a pretty solid pitch – certainly a whole lot better than 50 Cent, at least.
You can watch it above and below.
