The Black Sabbath men reunite for standout 'Patient Number 9' cut

Ozzy Osbourne recently unveiled his first new song in two years, the Jeff Beck-assisted "Patient Number 9," which is also the title track to his forthcoming studio album. Now, the Ozzman has treated us to the second single from the record, “Degradation Rules” – this one featuring crushing guitar contributions from his longtime Black Sabbath band mate, the one-and-only Tony Iommi.

Ozzy recorded Patient Number 9 with producer Andrew Watt, who helmed his 2020 effort, Ordinary Man. Watt also adds guitar to "Degradation Rules," which also features Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo and Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith. Other guests on the new record include Guns N' Roses bassist Duff McKagan, Eric Clapton, Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready, Queens of the Stone Age front man Josh Homme and the late Taylor Hawkins.

Patient Number 9 is due September 9 and available for pre-order in a variety of formats, including an exclusive "red, white and blue marble" colored vinyl variant limited to 2,000 and a picture disc CD limited to 999
