Listen to Faster Pussycat's swaggering new single, 'Like a Ghost'

New track is about 'growing up in the ’70s in Seattle, and how radio brought back memories,' Taime Downe tells us

Sunset Strip legends Faster Pussycat have shared a new double A-side single, “Like a Ghost” and “Pirate Love,” the latter a cover of the Johnny Thunders classic.

Faster Pussycat singer Taime Downe told Metal Edge exclusively that “Like a Ghost” is about “growing up in the ’70s in Seattle, and how radio and the songs you heard on it brought – and still bring back – memories. It was a simpler time back then, but interesting, that’s for sure!”

Regarding the songwriting process for the song, Downe continued, “I took to my Rolling Stones roots for this track, and it’s also the first song I wrote sober in over 20 years. I wasn’t sure I could do it, but I think it came out okay.”

The single is Faster Pussycat’s first music with their new label, Golden Robot Records. The double A-side single comes just a few months before Faster Pussycat are expected to hit Australian shores for "Glam Fest," with an exclusive Australian tour edition of “Like a Ghost” and “Pirate Love” on colored translucent blue 7-inch vinyl available to purchase at these shows, with limited stock to be made available online in 2023.
