Listen to hard-rocking new Def Leppard song, 'Take What You Want'

New cut is the leadoff track from the band's forthcoming album, 'Diamond Star Halos'

Def Leppard have unveiled a new song, 'Take What You Want,' the leadoff track from their forthcoming album, Diamond Star Halos

The hard-rocking cut follows the release of the album's first single, “Kick." You can check it out above.

As previously reported, Diamond Star Halos is Def Leppard’s first new studio album since their 2015 self-titled effort, and their 12th overall. The music, per the “Bang a Gong (Get It On)”-referencing title, is said to be inspired by ’70s glam-rockers like T.Rex, Mott the Hoople and David Bowie.

In addition to the band members – singer Joe Elliott, guitarists Phil Collen and Vivian Campbell, bassist Rick Savage and drummer Rick Allen – several guests appear on the record, including singer Alison Krauss on “This Guitar” and “Lifeless,” and Bowie pianist Mike Garson on “Goodbye for Good This Time” and “Angels (Can’t Help You Now).”

Diamond Star Halos is due out May 27th, roughly one month before Def Leppard's highly anticipated (and twice delayed) Stadium Tour with Mötley Crüe, Poison and Joan Jett & the Blackhearts launches in Atlanta. You can head here to preorder the album now.
