Mark Tremonti and Alter Bridge are about to head out on the road in support of their new album, Pawns & Kings. But even as the band prepares for a long touring cycle, the guitarist has hinted in a new interview that he has a few other projects in the works.
"I’m going into the studio in April to record another under-the-radar, secret project that I probably don’t want to announce until later this year, so I’m excited about that," he told Audio Ink Radio, adding that he will also be "writing as much music as I can for the next Alter Bridge and Tremonti records.”
As for whether his upcoming work might also include a much-discussed Creed reunion, Tremonti sounded tentative but hopeful. “There’s always talks and people running ideas back and forth, but we don’t know as of yet, because we’re so in the deep with this Alter Bridge record that’s it’s tough to get side tracked right now," he said.
But, he added, “I’m sure something will happen at some point. Creed was such a popular band back in the day, it would be a shame to not do something with it. I know there’s still tons of fans out there that would appreciate it, so it’s just a matter of timing.”
