Swedish heavy-rock queens Thundermother have doubled-down on their impressive 2020 album, Heat Wave, with the brand-new Black and Gold, an album that takes listeners on a wild, high voltage and powerful ride into the filthy yet catchy rock ‘n’ roll sound the band is known and loved for.
Today, Thundermother and Metal Edge are celebrating the release of Black and Gold with the premiere of the music video for the infectious, party-rocking single, "Loud and Free."
"We have been jamming this epic party track on soundchecks during the years. We’re stoked it’s finally a finished song!," says guitarist Filippa Nässil. "We are crazy, we know our worth and we know rock ‘n’ roll. We can’t wait to play it live!"
You can check out the video above, and if you want to catch Thundermother live in the flesh, they’ll be on tour across North America with the Scorpions beginning August 21. The full itinerary is below.
Black and Gold, meanwhile, was recorded at Baggpipe Studios, Stockholm, and was mixed and mastered by Søren Andersen at Medley Studios in Copenhagen. It’s out now on AFM Records, and you can pick it up here.
