Queensrÿche share rejected 'The Warning' album artwork

The band's 1984 full-length debut could have looked a lot different

Queensrÿche's debut full-length album, The Warning, was released 28 years ago this – September 7, 1984, to be exact. Since then, it has become known as one of the iconic hard rock and metal albums of the 1980s. Similarly, its album-cover art is instantly recognizable to any fan of the genre.

But as Queensrÿche has now revealed, that artwork was just one of many in contention for the cover. In a Facebook post on the anniversary, they unveiled the other considered designs.

“Attached are a few photos of album artwork for The Warning that did not get picked!!,” the band wrote. “Did we make the right choice?!”
