After Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee bowed out of the band’s Stadium Tour opening set at Atlanta’s Truist Stadium set after five songs – the drummer was dealing with lingering pain from an injury that he sustained roughly two weeks ago when he broke four ribs – the band brought in Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath drummer Tommy Clufetos to pound the skins in his place.
But that wasn’t the only guest Mötley welcomed to the stage. Three songs later, the band announced an additional surprise — a duet with the rapper-turned-pop-punker Machine Gun Kelly. Kelly, for those who recall, portrayed Tommy Lee in the 2019 Mötley Crüe biopic, The Dirt, and keeping on-brand, he came out to join in on a performance – the first-ever, in fact – of "The Dirt (Est. 1981)," the title cut from the film's soundtrack.
