Tesla bassist Brian Wheat and guitarist Frank Hannon recently appeared on SiriusXM’s Hair Nation, where they got into a conversation with DJ Tommy London about their biggest “Spinal Tap” moments.
Wheat played coy at first, saying, “[P]eople always ask us that question, and I don't really know how to answer it. You know, there's always some weird shit that happens now and again, you know. That's, when you've been doing it, as long as we have, there's always weird shit, you know, every now and again, but I don't know.”
Soon enough, however, the bassist opened up. “I zipped up my, uh, private parts in the zipper one time,” he admitted. “ ’Cause I was trying to pee on the side of the stage while Frank was doing the acoustic intro to ‘Little Suzi’ and it took longer than I thought.”
After asking London if he could get “graphic,” Wheat admitted, “I got the head of my pecker stuck in my zipper.” And, he continued, “I was playing the bass, right? I'm playing ‘Little Suzi,’ do do do do do, and my tech's trying to get it out. And I'm screaming, right?”
You can hear Wheat give the dirty details in the clip above.
