'Today sounded insane': Nikki Sixx on first day of Mötley Crüe rehearsals with John 5

The bassist says the band 'ripped the set from top to bottom seamlessly'

Mötley Crüe are gearing up for their first shows of 2023, which are scheduled to take place next  month, just before the kickoff of the World Tour with Def Leppard. And while John 5 has been showing us week after week that he's ready for his debut with the band, we now have additional confirmation from Nikki Sixx.

The band had their first day of rehearsals yesterday, and judging by the bassist's reaction, the Mötley machine is in top form.

"Well that was fucking epic," Sixx wrote on Twitter.

"@john5guitarist walks into rehearsal and we just rip the set from top to bottom seamlessly. That took 90 minutes and then the next few hours we just laughed and told dumb rockstar war stories."

He followed up with an Instagram story post thanking the band's crew and reiterating that "today sounded insane."
