Vince Neil diagnosed with Covid-19, pulls out of RokIsland Fest

'This thing is really kickin’ my ass,' the Mötley Crüe front man says

Vince Neil has been diagnosed with Covid-19, and says the illness has been "kicking [his] ass."

As a result, the Mötley Crüe singer has pulled out of his upcoming appearance at the RokIsland Fest, scheduled for January 17-21 in Key West, Florida.

A message posted on the festival Facebook page from Neil read:

"Hello RokIsland Friends,

I am sad to report that yesterday I was diagnosed with Covid. I am okay but this thing is really kickin’ my ass. All that being said, I am unable to perform at RokIsland Fest next week. I would like to extend my sincerest apologies to the RokIsland Fest organizers and most of all my friends and fans.

"I am disappointed to say the least. I was so looking forward to this show. I am hopeful that I will have the opportunity to make this up in 2024. In closing, I wish all the attendees of RokIsland Fest 2023 a fun and exciting time with all the other amazing acts. - Vince Neil"

Neil will be back with the Crüe beginning on February 10 and 11 at the Hard Rock Live at Etess Arena in Atlantic City, New Jersey. These will be the band's first shows with guitarist John 5 in tow, as they head into the 2023 World Tour with Def Leppard.
