Watch John 5 jam Mötley Crüe's 'Girls, Girls, Girls'

The guitarist is getting ready for the World Tour

John recently shared a clip of him playing along to Mötley Crüe's "Too Fast for Love" in honor of the 41st anniversary of the release of the album of the same name.

Now, the guitarist – who will, as we all know by now, be taking over for Mick Mars on upcoming Mötley tour dates – has posted a new video, this time of him performing the title track to 1987’s Girls, Girls, Girls.

You can check it out below.

As recently reported, Crüe guitarist Mick Mars has retired from touring with the band he helped found in 1981 "due to his ongoing painful struggle with Ankylosing Spondylitis (A.S.)... an extremely painful and crippling degenerative disease, which affects the spine."

Soon after, the band released an official statement on Mars' retirement, writing in part, "While change is never easy, we accept Mick's decision to retire from the band due to the challenges with his help."

Additionally, they confirmed the rumor that John 5 will take Mars' place onstage. "No doubt it will take an outstanding musician to fill Mick's shoes so we are grateful that our good friend, John 5 has agreed to come on board and join us moving forward."

In an exchange on Twitter on October 28, Sixx responded to a fan query about what made John 5, who co-wrote three songs for the soundtrack to the Crüe movie The Dirt, the "right fit" by writing, "He checks all the boxes. He's an insane player. Has respect for our music, is funny as fuck and has history with us and we've written some pretty big hits together."
