Watch John 5 perform 'Kickstart My Heart' and 'Home Sweet Home' on 2022 tour

The guitarist will be replacing Mick Mars on all Mötley Crüe live dates

John 5 was just announced as Mick Mars' replacement for all upcoming Mötley Crüe live shows. But this won't be the first time the guitarist has jammed some Crüe onstage.

On his solo tour with the Creatures earlier this year, John occasionally broke out both "Kickstart My Heart" and "Home Sweet Home," while in 2018 he played "Shout at the Devil" with Nikki Sixx, Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian and Ian's wife, Pearl Aday, at the Whisky A Go Go in L.A. You can check out fan-filmed footage of these performances above and below.

As previously reported, Mötley Crüe have released an official statement on Mars' retirement, writing in part, "While change is never easy, we accept Mick's decision to retire from the band due to the challenges with his help."

They continued, "No doubt it will take an outstanding musician to fill Mick's shoes so we are grateful that our good friend, John 5 has agreed to come on board and join us moving forward."

The World Tour kicks off February 18 in Mexico City and wraps July 16 in Glasgow, Scotland. You can get full dates here
